Kenneth L. Kickhaefer, CPA - Partner
Ken operates out of our Marysville and Waterville offices, and has been a certified public accountant for over 30 years, including a four year term as a bank controller. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has extensive experience with auditing state and local government units as well as commercial audits and bank directors exams. He also has experience in taxation of individuals, business, fiduciary, and other organizations, and accounting and business planning. Ken and his wife Barb have two children and two grandchildren. Ken is a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Ken has served on various boards through the years, but most currently as Chairman of the hospital board through its' construction phase for the new hospital. He is currently the City Treasurer for Marysville, KS. He is an avid outdoorsman and golfer. |

Kent A. Buessing, CPA - Partner
Kent operates out of our Seneca office, and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2000 with experience in both the public and private accounting sectors. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and of Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Kent’s public accounting experience includes extensive work with the taxation of individuals, businesses, agriculture, fiduciaries and non-profits. Kent and his wife, Millie, also a Certified Public Accountant, have two children, Ellie & Ryan. They reside south of Summerfield, Kansas. |

Barb Kickhaefer - Administrative Assistant
Barb assists Ken with administrative details including personnel and fiscal management issues. She oversees the organization and public relations of our office. Barb is involved with preparation of the final product for income tax returns & audits for presentation to the client. |

Melinda Christie, CPA - Staff Accountant
Melinda has been a certified public accountant since 1984 and has been with our firm since 1998. Melinda prepares corporate and individual tax returns and oversees the auditing procedures for our school districts. She is a member of the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. |

Robert C. Toole, CPA - Staff Accountant
Chris has been with our firm since 2009, and has been a certified public accountant since 2018. He prepares corporate and individual tax returns while also assisting in audit, review, and agreed-upon procedures for various clients. He is a member of the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Zita Duensing - Accountant
Zita has been with our firm since 2010. Zita works during tax season for Kickhaefer & Buessing, P.A. and prepares corporate, individual and partnership tax returns. When Zita is not preparing tax returns she helps her husband with their cattle at Alcove Ranch. Zita is married to Dr. Ken Duensing and lives in Blue Rapids. They have three children and three grandchildren. |
